IEEE 1394 Devices

IEEE 1394 Interface
Connector
A digital video camcorder or other IEEE 1394 standard device can be connected to the
computer.
Inserting IEEE 1394 devices

Turn on the computer
and the IEEE 1394 device

Connect the IEEE 1394 device to the computer
Refer to the instructions manual included with the IEEE 1394 devices.
NOTE
For more detailed information, refer to the operation manual of the IEEE
1394 device.
You may need to install drivers compatible with the OS you are using for
your IEEE 1394 devices. Follow the on-screen instructions and refer to
the operation manual for IEEE 1394 devices on how to install the driver.
Removing IEEE 1394 devices
CAUTION
When an IEEE 1394 device is connected to the computer and the power
for both the device and the computer is on, do not power off the IEEE
1394 device.

Power off the computer
and remove the cable from the IEEE 1394 Interface con-
nector of the computer

Power off the IEEE 1394 device and remove the cable
