Activating function lock:
1. Use the On/Off switch 3 to switch the appliance on.
2. Press the On/Off switch 3 again and hold it down for about 4 seconds
until the charging indicator 6 goes out. Using the On/Off switch now
has no effect.

3.2 Mains operation

If necessary, e.g. if the rechargeable battery has little or no charge,
you can run the appliance on mains power.
1. Insert the mains adapter 10 in a power
socket.
2. Unplug the plug of the power cord 11 from
the charging unit 8 and plug it in to the
socket on the clipper.

3.3 Switching On and Off

• To switch the appliance on, press the On/
Off switch 3. The charging indicator 6
lights up.
• To switch the appliance off, press the On/Off switch 3 again. The
charging indicator 6 goes off.

3.4 Setting the cutting length

The cutting length is adjustable in three stag-
es:
l: 0.5 mm
ll: 1.5 mm
III: 2.5 mm
– Slide the lever 5 to the desired position.

3.5 Comb attachments

The comb attachments 14 with the lengths 4,
8, 12, 16 and 20 mm can be pushed onto the
blade head 4.
Please note: The cutting lengths of the comb
attachment and the cutting length set on the
clipper must be added together.
Example: Comb attachment 20 mm and
lever 5 in position III (2.5 mm) results in a
cutting length of 22.5 mm.
