Starting Up With ModemLink
If
you
have an ATARI400™,
ATARI800™,
or
ATARI
1200XLTM Computer,
ModemLink loads
automatically
into
your
computer
-all
you
need to do is
turn
on
your
modem, then turn on
your computer.
To load
ModemLink
when
you have
a language
cartridge-such
as
ATh.RI
BASIC
or
PILOT-
plugged into
your
computer,
first
turn
on
your
modem,
then the
computer;
then type DOS and
press
IlmI!l'iD'
If
you
have an
ATARI600XLTM
or
ATARI800XLTM
Com-
puter with built-in
BASIC,
first turn
on your
modem,
then-while
holding down the
I+l:iimD
key-turn
on your
computer
to
load
Modemhink.
If your
computer
is
already on and you want to
switch from
BASIC to
ModemLink-or
if
you
have a
PILOT
cartridge plugged
into your computer-type
DOS and press
IiI!I!IB
to
load
Modeml.ink.
When
the ModemLink start-up
screen
appears, make
your selection
by typing
one
of
the
numbers
shown
in
in-
verse video (blue characters on a white
background),
The words displayed in inverse
video
indicate the
cur-
rent
mode of
operation,
NOTE:
If you turn
your
computer
off,
you must wait
three seconds before
reloading
Modeml.ink.
