When ModemLink detects a carrier tone, the READY
indicator on the front of your modem lights up. Then
follow the sign-on instructions provided by the service.
When you call some services, particularly bulletin board
systems, you must provide input-usually by typing
mmm
once-to complete the connection and receive a
sign-on message.
If ModemLink doesn't detect a carrier tone within 30
seconds,
it
highlights the message NO CONNECTION
... PRESSRETURNTO CONTINUE.Pressing
mmm
takes you back to the start-up menu.
To stop the dialing sequence before a carrier tone is
received, press the
1m
key.
