# ITEM DESCRIPTION
1 Quick-release plate locking Locks the quick-release plate to the mounting base
lever plate.
2 Mounting screw Secure your camera or camcorder to the quick-release
mounting place with this screw.
3 Mounting base plate Slide the quick-release mounting plate into this base
plate.
4 Side-tilt locking handle Adjusts and locks the mounting base plate in a
horizontal or vertical position.
5 Leg angle adjustment tab Lets you adjust the leg angle.
6 Leveling bubble The quick release plate is level when the bubble is in
the center.
7 Quick-release mounting plate Mount your camera to this removable plate.
8 Pan locking knob (not visible) Adjusts and locks the tilt angle of the mounting plate.
9 Tilt locking handle Locks the horizontal movement of the head.
10 Center column stopper knob Locks center column movement.
11 Center column Provides quick height adjustment.
12 Height adjustment foam Grasp the height adjustment foam when adjusting the
leg height.
13 Leg lock Provides quick leg adjustment.
SETTING UP YOUR TRIPOD
1 To extend a leg, grasp top leg section and turn the leg lock counter
clockwise to release the lock. Pull the leg to the length you want, then turn
the leg lock clockwise to lock the leg in place.
Note: You can extend the leg to one of five positions. As you rotate the leg
lock, you feel a click for each leg section. To extend the leg to full height,
hold the leg lock firmly and twist with moderate force until you feel four
clicks.
Caution: Incorrectly securing a leg lock can cause the tripod leg to retract
unexpectedly and could result in damage to the tripod or to the attached
camera or camcorder. When setting up the tripod, be sure and tighten the
leg lock at the end of each leg firmly by twisting clockwise.
