Cautions
To avoid machine malfunction, do not use the equipment under the following conditions:
• Unstable or unlevel surface
• Areas with extreme vibration
• Books, paper or other items on
top of the printer
• Obstruction of the printhead
movement while the printer is
operating
• Static Electricity Damage
• Direct exposure to sunlight
• Extremely high or low temperature
[temperature range: 5°C to 40°C
(41°F to 104°F)]
• Extremely high or low humidity
(humidity range: 20% to 80% RH)
• Condensation due to rapid change
of temperature
• Liquids near the equipment
• Prolonged use without allowing
the printhead time to cool
• Areas of poor ventilation
• Areas of high dust or chemical
fume concentration (solvent etc.)
• Without paper and a ribbon
cassette installed when the
printer is operating
To prevent static electricity damage to parallel/serial interface and printhead, touch a grounded metal surface, such
as the screw on the plate cover of an electrical outlet prior to touching the interface or printhead. (However, do not
touch the printhead when it is hot.)
