q Operate Indicator [OPERATE]
Lights while the power switch on the rear is turned on.
w Timer Record Reservation Indicator [TIMER]
Lights when the reservation is made for internal timer
recording.
e Alarm Suspension Indicator [ALARM SUSPEND]
Lights when an alarm is activated, and alarm suspen-
sion is set to ON not to start recording pictures or beep-
ing buzzer except logging event history.
r Summer Time Button [DAYLIGHT SAVINGS]
Press the obscured button with a pin to shift the internal
clock to the summer time system or vice versa.
t HDD Access Indicator [HDD]
Lights while the disk is being accessed.
y Full Indicator [FULL]
Blinks when the remaining capacity on the disk is low-
ered to the preset value, and lights when the capacity
comes to the full.
u Lock Indicator [LOCK]
Lights when buttons and JogDial on the front panel are
disabled.
i Memory Card Slot [MEMORY CARD]
Open the lid to put the CompactFlash card in to or out
from the slot. The card is used to store still pictures for
browsing them on the personal computer.
o LCD
Displays setup parameters while setting, and operating
status while recording or playing back.

!0 LCD Button [DISPLAY SELECT]
There are five positions to press; up, down, left, right
and the center. Press the appropriate positions to
select desired parameter on the LCD.
!1 LCD Contrast Control [LCD CONTRAST]
Adjust the contrast by rotating the control knob with a
small screw driver.
!2 Stop and Setup/ Escape Button
[ STOP] [SETUP/ESC]
Stops recording or playback by pressing this button in
the mode other than setting.
Holding down this button for 2 seconds calls up setup
menus or escapes from the setup.
Press this button to go one step back to the previous
selection in the setup menu.
!3 Play button [5 PLAY]
Press this button to start playback. The LED lights while
playing back, and blinks while pausing or searching.
!4 Recording button [
Press this button to start recording. The LED lights while
recording, and blinks while alarm recording.
!5 to !8 are PLAY MODE SELECT buttons.
!5 Alarm search button [ALARM SEARCH]
Press this button to search for desired record among
alarm log. The LED lights while searching.
!6 Step and Down button [STEP] [A / B C]
Press this button to start playing back still pictures field
by field. The LED lights while playing back.
Press this button to move the cursor downward on the
monitor while setting up.
