REC SETUP

Picture quality and frame rate are selected as a set or indi-
vidually.
Recording Mode
201 REC MODE
Select desired recording mode from among 5 basic
options; super fine (SF, level 10), fine (FQ, level 8), normal
(NQ, level 7), extended long time use (EX, level 5) and
optional (SP). In combination with or without audio (A)
recording the mode doubles as listed below. The recording
mode selection determines the remained available time and
displays the time length on the monitor and on the LCD.
In the SP mode the recording field rate ranging from 0.1 to
15 per second and the picture quality from level 1 to 10 are
variables to be set optionally. The available time is figured
out and displayed depending on the selection. "xxx" in the
table will be replaced with calculated available time after
selection.

1. Move the cursor to REC MODE with the [ ] or [ ] but-
ton.
2. Select the desired mode with the JogDial.
The default value is SF-12H.

The xxx will be replaced with any of time length; 12, 18, 24,
48, 72, 96, 120, 170, 180, 240, 480, 960 hours according to
calculation.
Press the LCD button upward or downward to toggle the
LCD display between [201 REC MODE] and [RECTIME
INFO.]. Available remaining time and total time appear on
the LCD .

Recording Field Rate
202 REC RATE
The field rate setting is available, number of fields per sec-
ond, when SP is selected. As the more field rate is select-
ed, the more information will be contained.
REC MODE
1. Move the cursor to REC RATE with the [ ] or [ ] button.
2. Select the desired rate (from 0.1 fps to 15 fps) with the
JogDial. The default value is 15 fps.
Recording Quality
203 REC QUALITY
The quality selection is available from 10 levels when SP is
selected. The greater the level number is, the better the
picture quality will be.

1. Move the cursor to REC QUALITY with the [ ] or [ ]
button.
2. Select the desired quality (from level 1 to 10) with the
JogDial. The default value is level 10.
