2. Tap More networks > M obile networks to configure options:
Mobile data: W hen enabled, your device connects to the mobile data network.

Network mode: C hoose a preferred network mode.

Connections optimizer: W hen enabled, helps you manage and enhance your data

experience by finding and connecting to remembered Wi-Fi networks on your device, and, if
applicable, to 4G network service.

Tethering

Use Tethering to share your device's internet connection with a computer that connects to your
device via USB cable, or by Bluetooth.
1. Press
and then tap
2. Tap More networks > T ethering, and then choose a tethering method:
USB tethering: C onnect the computer to the device via USB cable, then touch USB

tethering to turn tethering On or Off.
Bluetooth tethering: P air your device with the computer via Bluetooth. Consult the
l
computer's documentation for more information about configuring your computer to pair via
Bluetooth. Touch Bluetooth tethering to turn tethering On or Off.

VPN

Set up and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
Note: V PN settings include storage of login credentials on your device. You must configure a screen
unlock pattern, PIN or password before setting up a VPN.
1. Press and then tap
2. Tap More networks > V PN, and then tap
this may include these options:
Name: E nter the name of the VPN.

Type: C hoose the type of VPN, from PPTP, L2TP/IPSec PSK, L2TP/IPSec RSA, IPSec
l
Xauth PSK, IPSec Xauth RSA, or IPSec Hybrid RSA.
Server address: E nter the VPN server address.
l
PPP Encryption (MPPE): T ap to enable, if applicable for the VPN.
l
Show advanced options: T ap to set other options, depending on the type of VPN.

3. Tap Save to save the VPN.
