I have a 1962 MF35 with multi power. I need to replace the seals on the transmission input shaft. I know you can do this in the bell housing on a dual clutch transmission without the multi power but can it done on a multi power without having to remove the top cover. In the manual I’m showing a thrust washer on the multi power that’s not on the regular transmission input shaft. Just don’t want to drop anything when pulling out the input shaft.

No, the transmission input shaft seals on a 1962 Massey Ferguson MF35 with multi-power cannot be replaced without removing major components. Based on the context, oil from the multi-power system travels through the gearbox input shaft housing and other internal shafts, indicating that access to these areas requires significant disassembly. Therefore, the top cover or other major parts likely need to be removed for seal replacement.
