DISPLAYED MESSAGE POSSIBLE CAUSE
After cleaning, the grounds container has not been
replaced.
INSERT GROUNDS CONTAINER
The "pre-ground coffee" function has been selected
without placing any pre-ground coffee in the funnel.
The funnel (A8) is blocked.
ADD PRE-GROUND COFFEE
Descale The machine must be descaled.
The water filter is exhausted.
Replace water filter
Too much coffee has been used.
LESS COFFEE
The coffee beans have run out.
The pre-ground coffee funnel is clogged.
FILL BEANS CONTAINER
The infuser has not been replaced after cleaning.
INSERT INFUSER ASSEMBLY
The milk container is not inserted correctly.
INSERT MILK CONTAINER
After preparing a milk drink, the lid must be cleaned with
the CLEAN function.
TURN DIAL TO CLEAN
The froth adjustment dial in not in correct position.
TURN FROTH ADJUSTMENT

SOLUTION
Open the service door, remove the drip tray and insert the
grounds container.
Place pre-ground coffee in the funnel or deselect the
"pre-ground" function.
Empty the funnel with the help of the cleaning brush as
described in the section "Cleaning the pre-ground coffee
funnel".
The descaling procedure described in the "Descaling"
section needs to be performed as soon as possible.
Replace the filter or remove it as described in the section
"Water filter".
Select a milder taste or reduce the quantity of pre-ground
coffee.
Fill the beans container
Empty the funnel with the help of the brush as described in
the section "Cleaning the pre-ground coffee funnel".
Insert the infuser as described in the paragraph "Cleaning
the infuser".
Insert the milk container as far as it will go.
Turn the froth adjustment dial to CLEAN
Turn the froth adjustment dial in one of the froth position.
