PRESSURE TESTING FIREPLACE GAS
CONNECTIONS
1. Open equipment shutoff valve (see Figure
11, page 14).
2.. Open.main.gas.valve.located.on.or.near.
gas. meter. for. natural. gas. or. open. pro-
pane/LP.supply.tank.valve.
3. Make sure control knob of fireplace is in
the.OFF.position.
4. Check all joints from equipment shutoff
valve to gas regulator (see Figure 12,
page.14.or.Figure.13)..Apply.noncorrosive.
leak detection fluid to all joints. Bubbles
forming.show.a.leak.
5.. Correct.all.leaks.at.once.
6. Light fireplace (see Operation, page 16).
Check.all.other.internal.joints.for.leaks.
7. Turn off fireplace (see To Turn Off Gas to
Appliance, page 17.

INSTALLING LOG SET AND SCREEN
1.. Remove.log.packaging.material.and.discard.
packaging..Gently.place.log.over.the.burner.
(see.Figure.14)..Do.not.allow.log.to.contact.
flame. If flame contacts log, soot will be
created.
2.. Reattach.screen.by.placing.the.notches.
in. the. screen. frame. over. the. shoulder.
screws.and.pushing.down.
