GAS ANDOILFILL-UP
IMPORTANT: Thisunit isshipped without gasoline or oil inthe engine.Becertainto
service enginewithgasoline andoil asinstructed in thissectionbefore startingor
runningyourmachine.
Alwayskeephandsandfeet clearof equipment moving parts. Donot usea
pressurized starting fluid. Vaporsareflammable.
CheckingOil Level
NO?E: B e sureto check the oil whileon alevelsurface with the engine stopped.
1. Remove t he oil filler cap/dipstkkandwipethe dipstick clean.
2. Insertthe dipstickinto the oil filler neck. T urnthe dipstick a 1/4turn intothe
locked positionto fullyseat.
3. Remove d ipstick.Ifthe levelislow,slowlyaddoil to the upperlimit onthe
dipstick.SeeFigure 13inset.

Beforestartingengine,fill with motoroil,capacityis600ml/20oz.Referto
viscosity chartbelowforoil recommendations. Donotover-fill. Use asyntheticor
non-synthetk4-stroke, o r anequivalent h igh detergent, p remiumqualitymotoroil
certifiedto meetor exceed U.S. a utomobile manufacturer's r equirements f or service
classification SG, S F. M otoroilsclassified SG, S F will showthisdesignation onthe
container.
SAE 30isrecommended f orgeneral, a ll temperature use.If singleviscosity oil is
used, s elect t he appropriateviscosity f or the average temperature inyourareafrom
the chartbelow.
