PHONE

If your radio has access to a telephone system,
you can make a phone call. To do this, your
radio must send an access code to a station
that connects it to a phone line. (Ask your
dealer for more details.) After completing a
call, your radio must send a deaccess code to
hang up.
Note: In order to receive a phone call, your
radio must have a DTMF decode board
installed. Ask your dealer for details.
MAKING A PHONE CALL
(for keypad radios only)
You can make a phone call by using the
preprogrammed Phone button (see page 8).
To initiate a phone call, do the following:

Press the Phone Button.

You will hear a series of tones, indicating that
an access code is being sent automatically.
or–
Enter your access code using the keypad.
When you hear a dial tone:

Enter the phone number using the keypad.
or–
a Press and release the preprogrammed
Speed Dial button (see page 8) to use the
Speed Dial feature.
b Press the key (1 to 9) corresponding to the
number you want to call, or press "0" if you
want to call the last number dialed.
Note: Press the PTT button, if required for your
radio.
Note: To redial the last number dialed (if not
using Speed Dial), press and release
the PTT button. The radio sends the
last number dialed.
or–
If you entered your access code using
the keypad, press the
access the last number dialed; then
press and release the PTT button.
