10 Multi-unit Operation
10.1 Operating additional
cordless handsets
Up to 6 cordless handsets can be registered to a
single base unit. Additional cordless handset will
allow you to have an intercom call with another
cordless handset. See page 5 for accessory
information.
10.2 Registering a
cordless handset to a base
unit
The cordless handset supplied with the base unit
is already registered. If an optional cordless
handset is purchased, it must be registered
using the following method.

Base unit:
Press and hold {INTERCOM} for about 3
seconds, until the registration tone sounds.
L After pressing {INTERCOM}, the rest of
this procedure must be completed within
1 minute.

Cordless phone:
Press {MENU/SET}.
L "Program" will be displayed.

Press {e} or {v} repeatedly to display
"Register handset".

Press {MENU/SET}.

Note:
L When the cordless handset has been
registered successfully, a confirmation tone
will be heard and handset number will be
displayed.
10.2.1 Canceling a cordless
handset
If you no longer need to use the handset or if you
want to use the handset with a different base
unit, it is necessary to cancel the handset's
registration from the current base unit. Only one
handset can be canceled at a time.

Base unit:
Press {MENU}, then {INTERCOM}.
L "DEREGISTRATION" will be displayed.

Press {SET}.

Press the desired handset number you want
to cancel ({1} to {6}).
L A beep will sound and the registration
memory will be erased on the base unit
only.

Cordless handset:
L Disconnect the battery (page 6) from the
cordless handset for 10 seconds, then
reconnect it.
Note:
L After canceling registration, the handset
cannot be used. If you want to use it again,
re-register the handset to the base unit.
