Ground Lift Switch: In the "Lift" position, this switch adds 1 kΩ resistance to the
ground for the balanced inputs. The Ground Lift switch doesn't affect the AC mains
safety ground for the power supply.
Power User Tip: Enabling the ground lift can help to reduce ground loop noise
in your audio system. Ground loops can be caused by running audio cables with
power cables, by older buildings with improper wiring, or by equipment that
generates a lot of RFI, such as computers, laptop power supplies, and the like.
