Il the motorcycle is operated with insuf-
ficient battery electrolyte, sulfation and
battery plate damage will occu!. If mpid
loss of electrolyte is experienced, or if
your batlery seems lo be weak. causing
slow stafting or other elect cal problems,
see your authodzed Honda dealer.
Battery Electrolyte
The battery (l) is under the seat. Remove
the left side cover to check the battery
electrolyte.
The electrolyte level must be maintained
between the upper (3) and lower (4) level
marks on the side of the battery,
If the electolyte level is low, remove the
filler caps (2). Carefully add distilled water
to upper level mark. using a small syringe
or plastic funnel.
* Use only distilled
water in the
Tap water may shorten the service
of the battery.
* When checking battery
level or adding distilled
water,
sure the breather tube (5) is
to the battery brcather outlet.
