Using the Grammar Guide

Your Language Professor includes a
helpful grammar guide that describes
German grammar and parts of speech.
You can view it by selecting Grammar
Guide from the main menu.
From the Books Menu
1. Press MENÜ to go to the Books
menu.
2. Press
to highlight Grammar
Guide, and then press EINGABE.
3. Press
to highlight the topic
that you want to study and then
press EINGABE.
4. Continue selecting topics until
you reach the text.
5. Press
From an Infl ection Screen
1. Press MENÜ.
2. Highlight the German -> English
or English -> German dictionary,
and then press EINGABE.
3. Type a word to conjugate and
then press CONJ.
If a word has multiple parts of
speech, you are asked to select
or
to read.
Using the Grammar Guide
the one you want. Press
highlight the part of speech you
want and then press EINGABE.
When you select to conjugate a
verb, sometimes that verb will have
multiple translations in the other
language. When this happens, each
available translation is displayed
in a list. Press or
the translation you want and then
press EINGABE. Note: If the word
is a noun, an adjective, or another
modifi er, then you will go directly
to the infl ection screen.
4. Press CONJ again to see the
entire conjugation. Repeat to
view the word in more tenses.
5. Press HILFE.
Grammatical information about
the current part of speech or verb
tense will be displayed along with
usage examples.
6. Press
infl ection screen.
7. Press CLEAR to return to the
word entry screen.
