Key Guide
Main Keys
Turns the product on or off .
Turns the backlight on or off .
When pressed, the backlight
stays on for 30 seconds.
Shifts to type capital letters
and punctuation marks.
Shifts to allow auf (home),
ab (end), vor (next), zur
(prev) in menus, word lists
and dictionary entries. Shifts
with letter keys to perform
alternate functions.

When at an infl ection screen,
displays the grammar guide
section about the part of
speech or verb tense you

Key Guide
At the word entry screen,
types a ? to stand for a letter
in a word. At a menu, displays
a menu item. At a dictionary
entry, displays the headword.
In games, reveals the word
and forfeits the game. With
FN, press
Travel Phrases menu.
Selects items in a list or
executes a search. In text,
begins a highlight. In the
calculator, performs a
calculation.
In the word entry screen
deletes all input characters.
In the dictionary, goes to
the word entry screen. In
the grammar guide and
Travel Phrases menu, goes
to the top of the menu. In
any feature in the Learn
menu, returns to the Learn
menu. In games, returns to
the Games menu. Clears the
