13.3.2 Security

Set device security options.
To configure the settings, tap Settings > Security.
• Screen lock
Set the lock screen by sliding the screen or with a face unlock, pattern, PIN, or
password.
- None: The device is not protected.
- Slide: Slide to lock icon to unlock the phone.
- Face Unlock: Use the face detection to unlock the phone.
- Pattern: Trace the correct unlock pattern on the screen to unlock the phone.
- PIN: Enter a PIN number to unlock the phone.
- Password: Enter a password to unlock the phone.
• Owner info
Show owner information on the lock screen.
• Encrypt phone
Require a numeric PIN or password to decrypt your phone each time you power on
the device.
• Set up SIM card lock
Set up SIM card to lock or change the SIM pin codes.
• Make passwords visible
Show passwords as you type.
• Device administrators
View or deactivate device administrators.
• Unknown sources
Allow installation of non-Google Market applications.
• Trusted credentials
Display trusted CA certificates.
• Install from storage
Install encrypted certificates from the memory storage.
• Clear credentials
Clear credential storage of all contents and reset its password.
