If the meter does not display a message after inserting a
test strip:
PROBABLE CAUSE
Batteries exhausted.
Batteries incorrectly installed
or absent.
Test strip inserted upside down
or incompletely.
Defective meter.
WHAT TO DO
Replace the batteries.
Check that the batteries are
correctly installed with the
positive "+" side up.
Insert the test strip correctly
with the contact bars end first
and facing up.
