    SAFETY INFORMATION Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product. Always disconnect the power supply prior to servicing the fan, motor or junction box. Installation work must be carried out by a qualified person(s) in accordance to all local and safety codes including the rules for fire-rated construction.

    PREPARATION Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Hammer, Flathead Screwdriver, Wire Nuts, Nails, Duct Tape, Phillips Head Screwdriver, Utility Knife Helpful Tools (not included): Electric Drill, Drill Bits WARNING: Turn off electricity at breaker box before beginning installation. Carefully remove unit from carton. Check area above installation location to be sure that wiring can run to the planned location and that duct work can be run and the area is sufficient for proper ventilation.
  • Page 6 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS – NEW CONSTRUCTION ONLY BEFORE INSTALLATION Turn off power source. Review all safety precautions. If spacing between joists is 12 in. apart, use 4 long wood screws (AA) to attach the fan body (A) to the ceiling joists. NOTE: Suspension brackets are not needed.
  • Page 7 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS – NEW CONSTRUCTION ONLY Remove fan junction box cover (5.1). Using quick Quick connector, connect house wires to fan wires (5.2) as connector House wires Product shown in wiring diagram on page 5. Wire connections wires area as follows: black to live switch wire, white to neutral, green to ground.
  • Page 8 EXISTING CONSTRUCTION – ATTACHING TO JOIST Measure the opening to assure it is large enough to accommodate the new fan body (A) (10.25 in. x 10.25 in.). If this fan is not replacing an old fan, be sure to cut a 10.25 in.
  • Page 9 EXISTING CONSTRUCTION – INSTALLATION FROM BELOW (NO ATTIC ACCESS) Insert fan body (A) into ceiling cut out making sure to align the duct connector with the fan body (A). Secure the fan body (A) from below using 2 long wood screws (AA) through the flange into the wood support and 2 long wood screws (AA) through the flange into the joist.

    EXISTING CONSTRUCTION – INSTALLATION FROM ABOVE WITH SUSPENSION BRACKETS (ATTIC ACCESSIBLE) ONLY IF UNABLE TO ATTACH DIRECTLY TO THE JOIST(S) Secure the suspension brackets (D, E) to fan body (A) using short machine screw (BB). Hardware Used Short machine screw Connect a 4 in.

    HUMIDITY SENSING FAN OPERATION Humidity Sensing Mode: Move wall on/off switch to “ON” position. LED indicator light in fan is BLUE. The fan will automatically go on when humidity level in room goes above 60%. AMBER LIGHT Full Speed Mode: Cycle wall on/off switch. LED indicator light in fan is AMBER.
  • Page 12 CARE AND MAINTENANCE Wash and clean the grille (B) in a sink and dry with a cloth. Remove dust and dirt from the fan body (A) with a vacuum cleaner. Dampen cloth with dust detergent, wipe the fan body (A) and wipe dry with a cloth. Replace grille (B).

    CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ Assurez-vous de lire et de comprendre l’intégralité du présent manuel avant de tenter d’assembler, d’utiliser ou d’installer l’article. Fermez toujours l’alimentation électrique avant d’effectuer l’entretien du ventilateur, du moteur ou de la boîte de jonction. Les travaux d’installation doivent être effectués par une personne qualifiée, conformément aux codes locaux et de sécurité, y compris les règlements relatifs aux installations pare-feu.
  • Page 18 PRÉPARATION Outils nécessaires pour l’assemblage (non inclus) : marteau, tournevis à tête plate, capuchons de connexion, clous, ruban à conduits, tournevis cruciforme et couteau à lame rétractable. Outils utiles (non inclus) : perceuse électrique et forets. AVERTISSEMENT : Avant de commencer l’installation, coupez l’électricité à partir du disjoncteur.
