SECTION 1
INTRODUCTION
To display frequencies for a different
airport along the flight plan.
Press the small right knob to highlight the

IFR Procedures
Once the direct-to or flight plan is confirmed, the whole
range of instrument procedures is available. Departures
(SIDs), arrivals (STARs), non-precision and precision
approaches are stored within the NavData card and are
available using the PROC (procedures) Key.
To display the Procedures Page (Figure 1-22), press the
PROC Key.
The steps required to select and activate an approach,
departure, or arrival are identical. In this introductory
section, there are examples of the steps required to select
an approach, but keep in mind the same process also
applies to departures and arrivals.
To select an approach, departure, or arrival:

Turn the large right knob to select the desired
option ('Select Approach?', 'Select Arrival?',
or 'Select Departure?') from the Procedures
Page.
Press the ENT Key to display a list of
available procedures for the arrival (when using
approaches or STARs) or departure (when using
SIDs) airport.
Turn the small right knob to select the desired
procedure and press the ENT Key.
