9.1 Symbol/Signal Nomenclature

9.1.1 Symbols

Following symbols are used in BSDs.
• Test data
This symbol on a BSD indicates that test
data must always be referred to check
existence of the signal.
• NOTE
Instructs to refer to the NOTE on the same
page.
• Adjustment
Instructs to refer to the adjustment
procedure in Service Manual. In this
3.1.11
example, 3.1.11 is the adjustment number
of the Service Manual to be referred to.
This symbol is used to instruct reference of
an electrical adjustment procedure using a
3.1.11
control on PWB instructed in the Service
Manual.
• Parts list
Instructs to refer to the parts list. This
example indicates that the part is listed at
PL7 –1
PL7-1 of the parts list.
• Diagnostic code
This symbol is indicated on above a signal
name or in the main PWB on a BSD.
[4-1]
"4" in this example represents the chain
code No. while "1", the function No.
• I/O flag
This symbol indicates I/O to or from the
BSD. Figures in a flag represent the original
or destination BSD No. of the I/O signal.

9.1.2 Signal nomenclature

• Output signal
REGI GATE SOL. ON
(L) + 24VDC
Voltage level when
the signal is high (H).
Signal name
Voltage level necessary to
activate the electrical part.
* For certain signals, the activating voltage level is high.
• Input signal
REGI SENSOR SENSED
(L) +25VDC
Voltage level when
the signal is high (H).
Signal name
Voltage level when the
switch or sensor is activated
or energized.
* For certain signals, the activating voltage level is high.
• DC voltage
Unless otherwise specified by test data
or NOTE
the + 5V and + 24V DC voltage levels must be within the
following ranges when measured between test points and
DC COM:
+ 5VDC : + 5.2 ± 0.2VDC
+ 24VDC : + 24.5 ± 2.5VDC
• AC voltage
220V ± 10%
220VAC :
240V ± 6%
240VAC :
The above 220/240VACs are represented by 220VAC in
the BSD.
