5.2 Cleaning the dust container

WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! When cleaning
the dust container, always make sure that
the motor unit (Fig. 1/5) by no means gets
wet.
11
The compact dust container can only store
a limited amount of dirt and liquid. So it is best
to empty it after each vacuuming session.
Make sure you always empty the dust
container before and after vacuuming.
1. Hold the appliance and dust container so
they point down.
2. Hold both the dust container and the mo-
tor unit firmly with one hand on each.
3. Now pull back the three-in-one switch to
release the dust container from the motor
unit (Fig. 9).
4. Remove the permanent filter from the dust
container using the tab provided for this
purpose (Fig. 10).
5. Carefully tap out anything remaining or re-
move it by hand.
6. Also clean the dust container (ZChapter
5.2, "Cleaning the dust container") and the
filters on this occasion, ZChapter 5.3,
"Cleaning the filters".
1. First, disconnect the dust container from
the motor unit (Fig. 9) and empty it
(Fig. 10).
2. Now rinse out the dust container with run-
ning cold or hand-warm water (Fig. 11).
ATTENTION:
Do not use hard brushes, cleaning or scour-
ing agents or alcohol, as these might dam-
age the appliance's housing.
3. Use this opportunity to clean the filter in-
serts, ZChapter 5.3, "Cleaning the filters",
before putting them back in, ZChapter
5.4, "Fitting the filters".
4. Let the dust container dry completely be-
fore putting it back onto the motor unit,
ZChapter 5.5, "Assembling the appli-
ance".
