    Attention: If User only mode is selected and the user HDP has been forgotten and cannot be made available to the service technician, neither Lenovo nor Lenovo authorized service technicians provide any services to reset the user HDPs or to recover data from the hard disk drive.     If the LCD you are servicing has two or less visible defective pixels, it should not be considered faulty. However, if the LCD has three or more visible defective pixels, it will be deemed as defective by Lenovo and it should be replaced.

    • This policy applies to all ThinkPad Notebooks purchased on 1 January, 2008 or later. • Lenovo will not provide replacement if the LCD is within specification as we cannot guarantee that any replacement LCD will have zero pixel defects.

    If you replace the system board, you must restore the serial number of the system unit to its original value. Before replacing the system board, save the original serial number by doing the following: 1.
