Using other useful functions

Preparation
Press [THEATER] to switch the remote control to operate this unit.

∫ Recording audio from discs or television
broadcasts to a tape deck
1 Discs: Press [DVD] to select the DVD drive as the source.
Television broadcasts: Press [W X CH] to select the channel.
2 Start recording and play.
Refer to the manual of the other unit for details.
FM/AM broadcasts and audio from the AUX terminal or "MUSIC
PORT terminal" are not output through the AUDIO OUT
terminals.

through this unit's speakers
1 Press [DVD] to select the DVD drive as the source.

Using headphones

Reduce the volume and connect the
headphones (not included).

Adjust headphone volume with
[i j VOLUME].
Audio output becomes 2-channel only. Multi-channel audio is
down-mixed (➡ 50).

≥When headphones are connected, only "Equalizer (EQ)" can be
used to change the sound quality (➡ 34).
≥Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent hearing damage.

Using the Music Port

The Music Port allows you to connect and enjoy music from an
external device (e.g. MP3 player) through your home theater system.
Preparation
To avoid distorted sound, make sure that any equalizer function of
your external device is turned off.
