Replacing Ring Combs

This section describes how to replace ring combs.
• Use of non-recommended ring combs and/or ring comb cartridges can result in binding failures and
comb jams.

• Add new ring combs to the cartridge only when "Out of binding ring combs." appears on the display
panel.
• The ring comb cartridge can hold both 100- and 50-sheet type ring combs, but do not mix the two
sizes of ring comb inside the cartridge.
• We recommend that you prepare separate ring comb cartridges for each type and color of ring comb.
• Store ring combs in their original packaging and stand them upright.
