Shutting Down (power off your computer)

Select your application
You are able to start working on your computer.
NOTE
The power saving function is factory set, so if there is no input from a key, the touch
pad, or the touchscreen for two minutes. The LCD is powered off (ECO mode).
The LCD will resume operation when the touch pad or the touchscreen is used
or a key is pressed. We recommend using a key that will not result in an input
from the keyboard, such as Ctrl .
[System Devices] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [System] - [Device
Manager] may contain a device or devices bearing an exclamation mark or ques-
tion mark. This does not indicate a malfunction. Such a mark (exclamation or
question mark) will not be displayed if the operating environment of the device
showing the mark is corrected, by for instance installing the driver of the device.
CF-17 Series (Model with a handle)
The handle can be used as a tilt stand as shown in the illustration.
CF-M34 Series (Model with a hand strap)
The hand strap is convenient for computing while standing.
Adjust the length of the belt so that the computer does not fall by mistake, and firmly hold
the computer when using it.
CAUTION
Do not add a lot of weight to the hand strap or to the shoulder strap.
The hand strap or shoulder strap may accidentally come loose from the computer.
This procedure is shutting down without using the suspend or hibernation function.

Display the shut down screen
After saving important data and closing each application, select [Shut Down] from
the [Start] menu.
NOTE
From the keyboard,
You may choose to press down on

Confirm shut down
Select [Shut down], then press [OK]. Your computer will power off automatically.
(In the OFF state, if you are not recharging your battery pack or if the pack is fully charged, your com-
puter consumes approximately 0.6 W.)
Restarting your computer
Select [OK] after selecting [Restart].
