Supplied energy
Employed energy
Siemens Switzerland Ltd
HVAC Products
Yearly performance factor =
Heat energy from heating and DHW heating, etc.
Acquired energy to operate the heat pump. (compressor, source pump, fan) for
emergency heating elements.
Employed energy for gas operated heat pumps consists of the consumed average
natural gas energy and electrical energy required to operate the source.
For air heat pumps, the employed energy also includes electrical energy required for
defrost operation.
Active or passive cooling for room cooling is not counted as supplied or employed
energy.
Electrical energy used for heat distribution (heating circuit pump, condenser pump,
DHW charge pump, etc.) and electric immersion heater in the storage tanks are not
counted.
The assignment of recorded energy flows to heating or DHW heating is based on the
following operating state definitions.
Heating mode
Heating is considered:
-
All operating states which are not explicitly referred to in the following as DHW
heating, cooling and defrost.
In heating mode:
-
Recorded energy acquisition is counted as employed energy heating
-
Recorded energy supply is counted as supplied heat for heating
DHW mode
The employed and supplied energy is only assigned to DHW, if the charge is absolute .
This is the case if absolute charging priority is set or the priority is forced
hydraulically.
DHW heating is therefore considered:
-
If a charging request is active with absolute priority.
-
If a charge require is active and a diverting valve or separate circuit is
configured.
During DHW heating:
-
Energy acquisition is counted as employed energy DHW
-
Energy supply is counted as supplied heat for DHW
All other types of DHW heating are counted as heating mode, in particular if no or
shifting charging priority is set or the DHW storage tank is not connected to the basic
unit.
Cooling mode (room cooling)
Cooling mode is considered:
-
If the active cooling mode is active with process reversal.
-
If the passive cooling mode is active as of the brine circuit.
In cooling mode:
-
Energy acquisition is not counted
-
Energy supply is not counted
