Camera Communications
Problem
The computer cannot
communicate with the
camera.

Cause
The camera is not set
to PC Connect mode.
The camera is not
connected to a serial
cable, or the cable is
not connected to a
computer serial port.
The port setting in the
software is set to an
incorrect COM port.
The communication
speed setting in the
software is not
adjusted.
There is a conflict
with another serial
device, such as
infrared
communication,
internal fax modem, or
other communication
system.
The software that
generates frequent
interrupts (such as a
Web browser or
e-mail software) is
running.
Solution
Set the camera to PC
Connect mode. See
page 30.
Connect the serial
cable to the camera
and computer port.
See page 30.
Change the COM port
setting to Auto-Search
or to a specific COM
port.
Set the speed setting to
9,600 bps. If
communication is
successful, gradually
raise the speed to
optimize
communication time.
Refer to the serial
device and/or
operating system
User's Guide, or
consult the computer
manufacturer.
Exit that software
before starting the
KODAK Software.
