Making Connections
To ensure first-time operation as expected, please
carefully follow the connection sequences described
below in the order indicated.
1. Place the appropriate XM2go docking adapter inside
the docking bay. Docking adapters are labeled for
XM2go receiver identification.
2. Place your XM2go receiver inside the docking
adapter. In most cases, the black rubber spacer
included with the XM3020 system should be
attached to the rear of the docking adapter in order
to fit the XM2go receiver snugly inside the docking
adapter. If your XM2go receiver is equipped with a
high-capacity battery, do not use the rubber spacer.
3. Insert the barrel connector from the power supply
into the DC connector on the rear of the XM3020
system. After this connection is made, insert the
power supply into a wall outlet.
4. The XM3020 system is now on stand-by mode and a
red LED should be lit.
Start Playing
Turn on your XM2go receiver. The XM3020 system is now
ready to play and a green LED should be lit.
Volume
The VOLUME knob on the XM3020 receiver controls the
master volume. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the
volume and counterclockwise to decrease the volume.
Master volume can also be controlled using your XM2go
receiver's wireless remote, if available.
Wireless Remote-compatible
The XM3020 system is compatible with the wireless
remote that came with your XM2go receiver. Simply
point your wireless remote toward the IR window
located directly above the Altec Lansing logo on the
front of the XM3020 system to control volume and other
XM2go functions.
