Taking pictures/videos
Using Scene (SCN) modes
Choose a Scene mode—for great pictures in practically any situation.
1 Press the Mode button, then
2 Press
3 Press OK (or let the description turn off) to enter the highlighted Scene mode.
The camera is now in the highlighted scene mode. To read a mode description after it
has turned off, press OK to see it again.

Panorama L-R, R-L
Landscape
High ISO
Close-up
Flower
Sunset
Backlight
Candle Light
Children

Beach

Full-frame portraits of people.
Action pictures.
"Stitching" 2 or 3 pictures into 1 panoramic scene. (See
Distant scenes.
People indoors, in low-light scenes.
Close range. Use available light instead of flash, if possible.
Close-ups of flowers or other small subjects in bright light.
Subjects at dusk.
Subjects that are in shadow or "backlit."
Subjects illuminated by candle light.
Action pictures of children in bright light.
Quiet occasions, like a wedding or lecture. Flash and sound are
disabled. For best results, place the camera on a steady surface or
tripod.

Bright beach scenes.
Bright snow scenes.
until the LCD displays SCN, then press OK .
