Fingerprint reader assembly for use in HP EliteBook 745 models (includes cable, bracket, and
insulator)
Fingerprint reader assembly for use in HP EliteBook 755 models (includes cable, bracket, and
insulator)
Before removing the fingerprint reader assembly, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Service door (see
b. Battery (see
c. Fan (see
d. Keyboard (see
e. Base enclosure (see
Remove the fingerprint reader assembly:
1. Turn the computer upside down.
2. Remove plastic cover from the fingerprint reader assembly (1).
3. Slide the bracket away from the fingerprint reader board (2), and remove it.
