4. Types of Errors
• The errors are classified into the following categories and indicated with the following error indications:
<<After an XPROTECT power error was detected>> Protect Error
• Abnormal power was detected.
1. The voltage of SIGNAL_POW, P.CON+12V, P.CON+5V, or AT+3.3V exceeded the specified value because
of a failure in the corresponding power supply unit.
2. The line up to Pin No. 54 of XPROTECT of the System Ucom (IC1000) was short-circuited to ground or broken.
<<After a shutdown caused by an EEPROM failure>> EEPROM Error
1. Any communication line to the EEPROM may be broken or short-circuited.
2. The EEPROM IC itself may be defective.
<<After detection of an XOTW D-AMP-related error>> Amp Error

• If "Amp Error" is not displayed when the unit is turned on in Normal mode next time, there is no Amp Error anymore.
(As this error may be generated because of temporary temperature rise, try to lower the volume.)
(Note that the volume is set to 0 after an amp error was generated.)
• If an amp error is generated again, the possible causes are as follows:
1. The digital amp IC on the MAIN PCB Assy is in failure.
2. A point on the line from the above-mentioned digital amp IC up to the speakers is short-circuited (for example,
dirt is attached).
3. A point on the line from the above-mentioned digital amp IC up to Pin No. 69 of XOTW of the System Ucom
(IC1000) is short-circuited with ground or broken.
4. The power for the digital amp IC is abnormal.

5. Accumulated power-on time display
• If the INPUT SELECTOR key on the main unit is held pressed for 8 sec during power-on in Test mode, the accumulated
power-on time is displayed after the versions for various microcomputers are displayed.

• Accumulated power-on time is always counted, regardless of selected functions or operations.
(Standby hours are not counted.)
• Maximum countable time is 255 H 59 M. After that, the value will not increase. (The indication will not change.)
• Basically, the accumulated power-on time cannot be cleared. (To clear the time, you must enter a special mode for CA
checking, which is used on the production line [not disclosed].)
