Operating the CD player

Compatible discs

The CD player is compatible with CD, CD-R/RW and
MP3/WMA CD media. This unit can play all of the discs
mentioned here without an adapter.
Do not play any other media, such as DVDs, etc.
Disc size: 12 cm/8 cm CDs
Playing time: 74 min. and 24 min.

When moving the unit remove the disc from the CD
compartment. Doing this will avoid damaging the CD
player and the disc itself.
Note:
The playback quality with MP3/WMA CDs depends on
the bit rate settings and the burning software used.

Inserting discs

Prior to the initial operation: First remove the transport
protection insert from the CD compartment (7).
To switch on the CD playback, set the FUNCTION
mode selector switch (20) to CD/MP3/AUX.
To insert CDs, lift the CD compartment (7) at OPEN
(10); "DOOR OPEN" appears in the display (17).
The lid opens upwards. The lid should not be
impeded when doing this.

Note:
When the CD compartment (7) is open ensure no foreign
objects enter the unit. Do not touch the lens of the laser
under any circumstances.
Only open the CD compartment (7) when the CD
has stopped rotating.
Carefully insert the CD with the label side facing
upwards. Make sure the CD is not sitting at an
angle.
Close the CD compartment (7). The CD is scanned;
"READING" appears in the display during the
scanning. When the reading process has finished
"CD" or "MP3" and the number of tracks appears in
the display (17).
The playback starts automatically with the first track.
Note:
If no CD has been inserted, "NO DISC" appears in the
display (17) after a short while.
Before starting to use the medium, wait until all of the CD
content has been read to ensure that all of the necessary
information has been read from the CD. This process
may take a while, particularly when using MP3 CDs.
