Using general functions on the
unit

Switching on the unit

Switch on the unit using the FUNCTION switch (20); the
POWER LED (5) illuminates.

Setting the source

Set the FUNCTION switch (20) to USB/CARD,
CD/MP3/AUX or RADIO.
Radio playback starts immediately when the switch is
set to RADIO.
If you insert a CD, MP3 CD or WMA CD when the
function is set to CD/MP3/AUX, the display shows
"CD", "MP3" or "WMA", respectively; the CD spins and
the tracks are read.
Playback of an external source via AUX (22): Set the
FUNCTION switch (20) to CD without inserting a CD.
Setting USB/SD/MMC operation
Set the FUNCTION switch (20) to USB/CARD; the
unit switches on.
Press the USB/CARD button (6) to switch to USB or
SD/MMC mode. The respective indicator appears on
the display.

Information concerning USB operation:
The unit does not support the connection of USB media
via a USB extension cable.
Not suitable for direct connection to a PC.

Setting the sound effects

Press the EQ button (12). You can use this to adapt
the playback sound to the music style to which you
are listening. The following settings are possible:
NORMAL (Off), POP, ROCK, CLASS, JAZZ, BASS.
The NORMAL setting means that you have not
selected any sound effects.
Press the EQ button (12) repeatedly to switch
through the individual sound effects. The active
setting appears in the display.

Adjusting the volume

Turn the VOLUME regulator (1) to set the desired
volume.
- Turn towards MAX – louder,
- Turn towards MIN – quieter.

Switching off the unit

Set the FUNCTION switch (20) to OFF; the POWER
LED (5) goes out.
