Preparing the unit for operation

Preparing the unit for operation
You can connect the unit to the normal power supply (230
V ~ / 50 Hz).
The heat generated during operation must be dissipated
through adequate air circulation. Therefore the unit
should not be covered or inserted in an enclosed cabinet.
Make sure there is a free space of at least 10 cm around
the unit.

Improving station reception

The number and quality of the stations received depends
on the receiving conditions at the installation location.
Good reception can be obtained by using the FM
telescopic aerial (25). This aerial must be fully extended
to ensure the best possible reception.
The integrated MW aerial is adequate for receiving
stations in the MW frequency range. You can rotate the
unit to improve the quality of reception.

(not included). When inserting the batteries pay
attention to their correct polarity. See the illustration
in the battery compartment.
Replace the battery compartment cover carefully
and ensure the latches on the cover engage in the
housing.
Note:
Make sure that only batteries of the same type are used.
Never use a mixture of old and new batteries.
Use leak-proof batteries!
Important information concerning disposal
Batteries can contain toxic substances which are harmful
to the environment.
Therefore ensure you dispose of batteries in
accordance with the applicable legal regulations.
