Caps Lock indicator
Indicator is lit The Caps Lock key has been pressed. All the characters you type will appear
up in upper case. In the case of overlay keys, the character printed on the upper
left of the key will appear when that key is pressed.
Indicator not lit Upper case is not activated.

Switching on the notebook

The power-on indicator is lit.

Switching off the notebook

Back up your data and close all applications before you switch off your
device. Otherwise data might be lost.

Fn + Scr has not been pressed.
► Open the LCD screen.
Switching on
► Press the ON/OFF switch for about one
second to switch the notebook on.
► Shut down the operating system properly
(e. g. from the Windows Start menu, by
clicking on Start – Shut Down – OK).
Notebook
► If the notebook is not switched off
automatically, press the ON/OFF switch
for approx. five seconds.
► Close the LCD screen.
