Deleting Images

Delete images and sounds with mistakes or that are unnecessary.
When images or sounds are inadvertently deleted
Deleted images and sounds can be recovered with the Optio W10. (p.128)
Deleted images and sounds can be recovered even if the camera has been
turned off after deletion as long as the SD memory card has not been removed.
However, deleted images and sounds cannot be recovered after operations to
write data such as taking pictures, recording movies, protecting images, saving
DPOF settings, resizing images, or trimming images have been performed.

Deleting Single Images/Sound Files

You can delete single images and sound files one at a time.
Protected images and sound files cannot be deleted. (p.129)

Enter the Q mode and use the four-way controller
(45) to choose the image/sound file you want to delete.

Press the i button.
The confirmation screen appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select [Delete].
4
Press the 4 button.
The image or sound file is deleted.
If you press the i button during Instant Review, the screen in Step 2
appears, enabling you to delete the image you have just taken. (p.43)
