2.1 OPERATION
/ ; ; h e
FR-A1OOE inverter can be operated in any of three modes. Select the
appropriate mode for an application and running conditions and prepare
required instruments and parts.
Note: This inverter is desiged for use with the
F R - P U 0 2 - 1
or
F R - A R W E - 1
parameter units. If a previous type of parameter unit is used the inverter
will not start in external or communication mode as Pr. 75 is factory set
to
" 1 4 " .
Like wise if a previous parameter unit (not
F R - P U 0 2 E - 1
or FR-ARWE-I)
is connected during inverter operation, the inverter will be decelerated
to a stop. (Refer to page 100.)

operation mode
The inverter is operated with the external operation and PU
operation
modes combined in either of the following two
methods.
I
Use this cable when the parame-
ter unit is held in hand to perform
operation, for example.
1)
The external signal is used as the start signal and the
PU is used to set the frequency.
I
*:
"PU" stands for the parameter unit.
2)
The operation command key of the PU is used to start
and the external frequency setting potentiometer is
used to set the frequency.
