Makesureall cablesare routedto the left of the chutecontrol rod.
Line up the hole in the rodwith the arrowon the inputshaftand
insert the rod intothe inputshaftbelowjoystickon handlepanel.
See Figure7.
NOTE:The chutecontrol rodwill fit snugglyintothe inputshaft.
Supportthe rearof the dashpanel withone handwhile insertingthe
rod with yourother handto ensurethe rod is insertedallthe way into
the inputshaft.

Now pushthechute controlrod back towardsthe handlepanel
untilthe hole in the rod linesup with the hole in thechute control
inputclosestto the chutecontrol head.Insertthecotter pin.See
Figure8.
NOTE:The secondhole is usedto achievefurtherengagement o f the
chutecontrol rod intothe inputshaft if requiredand can be usedlater
for adjustment i f thechute doesnot fully rotate.Referto the Service&
Maintenancesectionfor ChuteControl Rodadjustments.

Finishsecuringchutecontrol headto chute supportbracketwith
wingnut, and clevispin and bow-tiecotter pin removedearlier.Do
notovertighten.See Figure9.
