HDTV Quick Set-Up Guide
(For US customers)
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Toshiba High-DefinitionTelevision. You must have an HD Signal to watch an HD Picture!
Getting HDTV is easy as 1,2.3.
There are 3 basic ways to receive an HDTV Signal on your new High-Definition TV:

Component Video Input
CoiorSueam· HO Component may also be used
to
receive HOlY.
Use if no HOMI' or OVI Jack is available.

the back of the TV and HO Cable 801( or HO Satellite
Receiver.
This connection will require a separate analog audio
connection. (use the red and white audio connections)
OVI to HOMI·
Your HO Cable 801( or HO Satellite Receiver may have
a DVI connection. This WIll
be
connected to the HOMr
jack on the TV using an HOMr cable and an HOMI'
to
DVI
converter.
DVl carries digital video only. Therefore. this will require
a sep;rate analog audiO connection
as
well.

This is a digital connection that
carries both digital video and
digital audio.
Once you have a
HighaDefinition
Signal you need to connect it to a High-Definition Input on your TV.
If you are connecting directly from an antenna or basic cable.
