Contents of Hardware Pack

Before beginning installation, remove all the contents from the
crate and all the hardware from the pack from to make sure
everything is present. Hardware is listed below. Part numbers are
shown in parentheses.
Two 5/16-18 x 3/4" Screws — Hitch Plate
Two 5/16-18 Lock Nuts — Hitch Plate
Two 1/4-15 x 1" Screws — Engine Rear Cover
Two Shoulder Bolts — Seat Pivot Bracket
Two 5/16-18 Lock Nuts— Seat Pivot Bracket
One 1/4-20 x 3/4" Screw — Steering Pedestal
One 3/16 Hex Key — Steering Shaft
Recommended Tools for Assembly
3/16" Hex Key (included in hardware pack)
1/4" Drive Ratchet
3/16" Wrench (or adjustable wrench)
3/8" Wrench (or adjustable wrench)
1/2" Wrench (or adjustable wrench)
5/8" Wrench (or adjustable wrench)
3/8" Socket wrench
1/2" Socket wrench

Installing The Steering Wheel Assembly
If the steering wheel assembly for your tractor did not come
alredy installed, follow the steps below:
1.
Slide the pedestal cap onto the steering shaft so that when
the steering shaft is installed on the tractor, the pedestal
cap will be upright as shown in 1. Slide the pedestal cap

onto the steering shaft so that when the steering shaft is

installed on the tractor, the pedestal cap will be upright as
shown in Figure 3-1..

Remove the socket head screw and lock nut from the
steering shaft and retain for later steps.
3.
With the steering wheel assembly upright and positioned
over the lower steering shaft on the tractor, align the
steering wheel so that with the tractor wheels straight, the
large opening on the steering wheel is facing forward.
4.
Lower the steering wheel assembly onto the lower steering
shaft and secure with the socket head screw and lock nut
previously removed. See Figure 3-2.
NOTE: Be sure to align the socket head screw so that the
head of the screw fits into the larger hole provided on the
upper steering shaft once tightened.
