The start and tension levers contact each other and
move together during engine operation. Above the
tension lever is the governor spring which is
connected to the control lever. Movement of the
control lever is capable of changing the set force of
the governor spring. On the upper back of the
tension lever is the idle spring.
The governor is controlled at all speeds by means
of the start, governor and idle springs.
