ABLING REQUIREMENTS
For a 10Base-T network: Two-pair EIA/TIA Category 3 (NEMA stan-
dard) unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable or higher, with RJ-45
connectors.
For a 100Base-TX network: Two-pair EIA/TIA Category 5
unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cable, with RJ-45 connectors.

The illustration below shows the RJ-45 port pin assignments. Pin
assignments are identical for 10Base-T and 100Base-TX, using
Category 5 UTP cable.
