3. Call functions

■ Make a call

1. Enter the phone number, including the area code. If you entered an incorrect
character, select
For international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (the + character
replaces the international access code), enter the country code, the area code
without the leading 0, if necessary, and the phone number.
2. To call the number, press call.
3. To end the call, or to cancel the call attempt, press end.

Search for a contact

To search for a name or phone number that you have saved in Contacts.
See "Find a contact," page 42. Press call to call the number.

Last number redial

In the standby mode, press call once to access the list of phone numbers you have
most recently called or attempted to call. Scroll to the number or name you want,
and press call.

1-touch dialing

You can assign a phone number to one of the 1-touch keys, from 2 to 9.
See "1-touch dialing," page 46. Call the number in either of the following ways:
• Press the 1-touch key that you want and call.
• If 1-touch dialing
started. See "Call settings," page 54.

■ Answer or decline an incoming call

To answer an incoming call, press call. To end the call, press end.
To decline an incoming call, press end.
If you select Silence, only the ringing tone is muted. You can answer or decline
the call.
