    General information ■ Overview of functions The Nokia 6230i phone provides many functions that are practical for daily use, such as a calendar, a clock, an alarm clock, a radio, a music player, and a built-in camera. You can personalize your phone with Nokia Xpress-on color covers.

    G e n e r a l i n f o r m a t i o n If you enter an incorrect security code five times in succession, the phone ignores further entries of the code. Wait for 5 minutes, and enter the code again.

If you entered an incorrect character, select For international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (the + character replaces the international access code), enter the country code, the area code without the leading 0, if necessary, and the phone number.

    To reject an incoming call, press the end key. If you select Silence, only the ringing tone is muted. Then either answer or reject the call. Tip: If the Divert if busy for example, to your voice mailbox, rejecting an incoming call also diverts the call.

    4. Write text You can enter text, for example, when writing messages, using traditional or predictive text input. When using tradional text input, press a number key, 1 to 9, repeatedly until the desired character appears. In predictive text input you can enter a letter with a single key press.

    6. Menu functions ■ Messages You can read, write, send, and save text, multimedia, and e-mail messages. All messages are organized into folders. Note: When sending messages, your device may display the words Message sent. This is an indication that the message has been sent by your device to the message centre number programmed into your device.
