TROUBLE SHOOTING
AND
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
The battery
is being recharged
all the
while
the
engine
is running
.
Further,
while running, the load such
as the use
of the turn signal
lamps horn
are placed on
the
battery
(discharged!,
as
the
resu lt, the
battery
is
qeing
discharged
at
the
same
time it is
being
re-
charged.
In the long run, the discharge
and the
recharge is in balance.
The
system
has been designed
in this manner.
Under
certain
condition
when
the
balance is
upset, then
trouble
develops.
To
obtain maximum
life from
the
battery,
it
is
necessary
to
locale
t
his trouble
and toke
the appro-
priate action
early.

The trouble to the battery are mainly
exte
rnal
such
as
cracked
case, broken terminal. disconnected
lead
wire.
