Solution
Ensure that your TV or receiver has stereo speakers.
Ensure that the TV menu settings are correct for an HDMI or AV
connection.
Ensure that the Video Out is set correctly
If no card is inserted and the camera is powered by the AC adapter,
then videos are taken in low resolution and are not saved. (The
camera is in Demo mode.) Insert a card or unplug the AC adapter.
Ensure that the battery is correctly inserted in the remote control and
camera.
Ensure that the camera infrared receiver (above the lens) and the
remote control have an unobstructed path.
Try a different angle, or move closer.
